Itinerary

Day 01 (Arrive Delhi)
NEW DELHI – India’s capital and a major gateway to the country, contemporary Delhi is a bustling metropolis which successfully combines in its fold the ancient and the modern. Its strategic location was one of the prime reasons why successive dynasties chose it as their seat of power. It is not surprising then, that what constitutes Delhi today is a conglomerate of seven cities Overnight at Hotel.
Day 02 (Delhi)
After a leisurely breakfast sightseeing tour of OLD DELHI. Red Fort – The old walled city from Mughal India, the chief attraction is the huge fort that contains within it palaces and impressive public buildings. Jama Masjid – The great mosque of Old Delhi is both the largest in India and the final architectural extravagance of Shah Jahan. Raj Ghat – On the banks of the Yamuna River, a simple square platform of black marble marks the spot where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated following his assassination in 1948. Afternoon visit New Delhi where ornate buildings recall the days when India was the Jewel in the crown of the British empire. Visit the 11th century Qutab Minar, India Gate and the grand government buildings, the President’s House, Mahatama Gandhi Memorial, Also visit Laxmi Narayan temple popularly known as Birla Temple. Overnight in Delhi.
Day 03 (Delhi | Mandawa) - 265 Kms. / Approx 06 hrs.
After early breakfast drive to Mandawa, often called the open air art gallery of Rajasthan', the region is famous for the high quality frescoes. Arrive Mandawa & transfer to hotel. Overnight in Mandawa.
Day 04 (Mandawa | Bikaner) - 165 Kms. / Approx 04 hrs.
Morning after Breakfast drive to Bikaner. On arrival transfer to the hotel. Later city sight seeing tour. Bikaner is named after its founder Rao Bikaji in 1488. But long before this, the city was trade center on the caravan routes from Africa and West Asia. Bikaner’s dominant features are rippling sands and abundant sunshine. The city stands on an elevation, enclosed by a 7 Kms wall, which can be entered from 5 gates. Bikaner City is bolstered by imposing walls and has a 16th century fort housing old palaces, temples and mosque. Founded by Raja Rai Singh the fort is distinguished by its long range of 37 pavilions, a line of balconies and aerial windows of varying designs. Also visit Lallgarh Palace. Overnight in Bikaner.
Day 05 (Bikaner | Khimsar) - 150 Kms. / Approx 03 hrs.
Morning proceed for Khimsar, en-route visiting Karni Mata temple at Deshnok. Upon arrival check-in at Khimsar Fort. Evening at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 06 (Khimsar | Jaisalmer) - 280 Kms. / Approx 06 hrs.
Morning drive to Jaisalmer, en- route visit Deshnoke Rat temple. On arrival transfer to hotel. Evening at leisure. The Karni Mata Temple - (33 Kms) was built by Maharaja Ganga Singh in the early 20th century in the late Mughal style. The entrance, pictured here, is lavishly decorated with beautifully sculptured marble paneling full of intricate patterns, and delicately worked doorways, colonnades, pavilions and balconies Overnight in Jaisalmer.
Day 07 (Jaisalmer)
Morning city sightseeing tour of Jaisalmer. Throbbing in the heart of the Thar, the burnished sandstone, is an intricately molded wonderland in place of a barren land, today stands a city of gilded magic. The origins of Jaisalmer go back to the 12th century, when Rawal Jaisal abandoned his old fort at Ludarwa and laid the foundation of a new city. Visit the magnificient fort, the Patwon Ki Haveli (Mansion) and Salim singh Ki Haveli, with their carved balconies and brackets which are supreme examples of the art. Evening camel ride to visit Sam Dunes. Overnight in Jaisalmer.
Day 08 (Jaisalmer | Jodhpur) - 300 Kms. / Approx. 6 hrs.
After breakfast drive to Jodhpur. On arrival transfer to hotel. Later proceed for city sight seeing tour of Jodhpur. Jodhpur - the stronghold of the fierce Rathore clan was founded in 1459 by Prince Jodha. Visit the Mehrangarh Fort, situated on a low sandstone hill. Within the fort, visit Moti Mahal and Phool Mahal. Also visit Jaswant Thada, an imposing marble cenotaph, built in memory of Maharaja Jaswant singh II around 1899 and Umaid Public gardens. Overnight in Jodhpur.
Day 09 (Jodhpur | Ranakpur | Udaipur) - 280 Kms. / Approx. 06 hrs.
After breakfast drive to Udaipur and enroute visit: - Ranakpur : famous for the quadruple Jain temple dedicated, like the temples at Mount Abu to Adinath. The whole structure has 80 domes and of 400 pillars. Continue your drive for Udaipur. Rest of the day free for independent activities. Overnight In Udaipur.
Jay 10 (Udaipur)
In the morning after breakfast enjoy sightseeing tour of: - Udaipur City : Visit the City Palace Museum - grandeur and intricacy stroked all over in granite, marble and mosaic displayed in the sparkling white filigreed balconies and windows, ornate arches and cupolas atop magnificent octagonal towers, Jagdish Temple - built in 1651 AD. Also visit Sahelion Ki Bari- the spectacular garden displaying the unique life style of the royal ladies who once lived in the palaces. Afternoon at leisure. In the evening enjoy a most memorable boat ride with the reflections of the majestic Lake Palace Hotel at its best against the setting sun. Overnight in Udaipur.
Day 11 (Udaipur | Ajmer | Pushkar) - 285 Kms / Approx. 07 hrs.
After having breakfast drive to Pushkar and enroute visit: Ajmer City: Founded in the 11th century is the holy city of the Muslims. The Taragarh fort, Anna Sagar - an artificial lake, Akbar’s palace and the Durgah - Mausoleum of Khwaja Moinuddin-Chisti a Muslim holy man all combine to give the city its historical and religious importance. Continue your drive for Pushkar. Rest of the evening free for independent activities. Overnight in Pushkar.
Day 12 (Pushkar | Jaipur) - 208 Kms. / Approx. 05 hrs.
After having breakfast proceed to visit Pushkar city. Jagat Pita Shri Brahma Temple - is a flourishing temple town full of religious myths and faiths, the biggest attraction being the temple of Lord Brahma-Lord of Creation. The Warah temple - houses an image of Lord Vishnu in the incarnation of wild boar. Savitri Temple - The temple of Lord Brahma's wife. Afternoon: Drive to Jaipur. Upon arrival check in at hotel. Rest of the evening free for independent activities. Overnight in Jaipur.
Day 13 (Jaipur)
After an early breakfast, proceed for an excursion to the Amber Fort - where you ascend up the hill "Maharaja-like" on Elephant back. The Fort is known for its exquisite mirrored halls and lofty ramparts and is a superb example of Rajput architecture. It is strategically located on a hilltop overlooking the lake. This magnificent fort has recently been wonderfully restored bringing back some of it past glory. During return, enjoy a photo-stop at Jal Mahal Palace. On city tour, visit the honeycomb designed Hawa Mahal ( Stop for Photo Shout) also known as the "Palace of Wind" built in 1799, by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh, one of the major landmarks of Jaipur. It is an integral part of the City Palace, an extension of the Zenana (women's chambers) away, from where the royal ladies, who lived in seclusion, observed life on the outside without showing themselves. Afternoon visit Jantar Mantar, the largest of Maharaja Jai Singh's remarkable Observatories- still in perfect working condition. Its complex instruments, whose setting and shapes are scientifically designed, represent the high points of medieval Indian astronomy. Later, visit the Maharaja's City Palace, once a formal residence of the royal family, built in a blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture. The City Palace also houses a well stocked museum and armory. Overnight at Jaipur.
Day 14 (Jaipur | Bharatpur | Agra) - 245 Kms. / Approx 05 hrs.
Drive to Agra in the morning en-route visiting Bharatpur bird sanctuary. After visit continue your drive to Agra and visit the deserted city of Fatehpur Sikri, built by Emperor Akbar in 1569 to commemorate the birth of his son and later abandoned due to scarcity of water. Continue drive to Agra, upon arrival in Agra check-in at a hotel. Evening at leisure. Overnight at the hotel. Taj remains closed on Fridays.
Day 15 (Agra | Delhi) - 205 Kms. / Approx 04 hrs.
Morning after breakfast visit of world famous Taj Mahal, built by the Mughal Emperor Shahjehan in 1630 for his queen Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains, Also visit the Agra Fort, containing the Pearl Mosque - the rusty and majestic red- sandstone fort of Agra stands on the banks of the river Yamuna and the construction was started by Emperor Akbar in 1566. Afternoon: Drive to Delhi, upon arrival transfer to Indira Gandhi International airport to connect your flight back home.
