Ladakh, a place on earth which seems to have been both cursed and blessed by the creator. Cursed because the fruits of modernization and advanced communications have not reached there fully yet, and blessed for the same reason. It is a cold desert situated in northern India spotted with beautiful mountain passes, rivers, sand dunes, snow capped peaks and roads and magnanimous landscapes, which can make someone feel humble about their existence.

Itinerary

Day 01 (Arrive Leh)
Arrive Leh airport, wisdom Representative will meet, assist and transfer the guests to the hotel in Leh. Rest of the day free to acclimatize to the high altitude of Ladakh. In the evening you may take a walk to the local market but we highly recommend to give complete rest to the body. O/N Leh.
Day 02 (Heritage walk and Leh sightseeing)
In the morning take a walk through the Old town of Leh. In the pages of history, the ancient capital of Leh, bookmarks one of the greatest cross-cultural crusades of its time. We have mapped out a trajectory that shadows time, seeking out all that it left behind. This historical trail traces revered palaces and forgotten forts, it visits the quiet courtyards of ancient museums and cafes rooted in romanticism… all of it, illustrating history that once existed on a grand scale!. Post lunch visit Zorawar Fort, Leh Palace and Shanti Stupa. Later half of the day free to stroll around the Leh Market. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in Leh.
Day 03 (Leh | Nubra Valley) - 128 Kms / 4-5 hrs drive
After Breakfast drive to Nubra Valley via Khardungla (Highest Motorable road in the world, 18,380 ft). On the way visit Desert Himalaya Adventure Park where you can have lunch and enjoy adventure activities like World’s longest High Altitude Zip line and ATV ride at Khalsar sand dunes (activities on direct payment basis) Arrive at your destination and check in to the hotel/camp. Rest of the day free to relax at the resort.
Day 04 (Nubra Valley sightseeing)
After breakfast visit 108 ft high Maitriya Buddha Statue at Diskit monastery and Hunder Sand Dunes where you can enjoy double humped camel ride (on direct payment basis) Return to your hotel/camp for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 05 (Nubra | Pangong Lake) - 160 Kms / 4 Hrs drive
After Breakfast leave for Pangong Lake (14,500 ft) through the Shayok River Valley. A beautiful drive of appox 04 hours and you’ll be at one of the most beautiful places of the planet. Spend some time around the lake visit the 03 Idiot shooting point, try local food at any of the small restaurant around the Lake shore., Later free time at Leisure and enjoy the colour changing lake and the sun set on the banks of lake. Dinner and overnight stay at the camp at Pangong area.
Day 06 (Pangong Lake | Leh) -140 Kms / 4-5 hrs drive
Early morning enjoy the picturesque view of Sun rise on lake. Post breakfast start your drive to Leh, this time crossing the mighty Changla pass at 17000ft. On the way visit Thiksey Monastery which is one of the largest and architecturally most impressive Gompas of Ladakh. There are several temples in this Gompas, containing images, stupas and wall paintings of Buddha, which are exquisite. Also visit Shey Palace on a hillock 15 Kms before Leh, it was once the residence of the royal family. A 7.5 mts high copper statue of Buddha, plated with gold and the largest of its kind, is installed here. After visiting Shey Palace continue drive to Leh enroute two brief halts at Druk Pema Karpo School AKA Rancho’s School (03 Idiot fame) and Sindhu Ghaat where the annual Sindhu Darshan festival is held. Reach Leh and relax at the hotel or just walk to Leh market for souvenir shopping. Dinner and overnight stay at Leh
Day 07 (Leh | Kargil) - 230 Kms / 07 hrs drive
After breakfast at the hotel drive to Kargil on Leh Srinagar highway which is our National Highway number 01. After short drive make a stopover at Ladakh Hall of Fame which is a glorious museum constructed by the Indian Army. You can see the memorabilia, eminent defense personalities with biographies, images and weapons used during the Kargil and other key strategic battles fought in Ladakh. Drive to about 20 kms and reach Gurdwara Patthar sahib, built in the everlasting memory of Shri Guru Nanak Deve Ji the great prophet who sanctified the place by his sacred visit during the year 1517 while on his second missionary tour (2nd Udassi 1515-1518). Just a little ahead make another stop at Magnetic Hill. It has been noticed that when a vehicle is parked on neutral gear on this metallic road the vehicle slides up-hill, defying the law of gravity. That’s the Believe it or not of Ladakh. On way just before Nimu village one can have this magnificent view of two rivers in wed-lock! The meeting point or Sangam of Indus and Zandkar rivers. In different seasons they have different colours and flow and wildness. Continue drive to Reach Kargil in the evening. Visit Kargil War Memorial, another Army museum dedicated to Kargil war. Check into hotel in Kargil for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 08 (Kargil | Lamayuru | Leh) - 230 Kms / 08 Hrs drive
Morning after Breakfast drive back to Leh, en route visit Mulbek a giant Buddha Sculpture on Rock Mountain, Lamayuru, the oldest Monastery of Ladakh and watch the spectacular Moon like landscape unfold around you as you reach the Lamayuru monastery. Lunch at Nurla / Saspol Village (on own), and continue drive to Leh, en route visit Alchi Choskor which is known for its 1100 years old Buddha statues painted with precious stone colours. Few kilimeters ahead make a detour to Likir village to make a stopover at Likir monastery to see the 75 Ft Tall Maitriya Buddha Statue. Continue drive to Leh. Reach leh in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 09 (Indus Valley Monastery Tour) - 90 Kms round trip
After breakfast leave for Indus Valley monastery tour starting from Shey Palace on a hillock 15 Kms upstream from Leh, it was once the residence of the royal family. A 7.5 mts high copper statue of Buddha, plated with gold and the largest of its kind, is installed here. A drive of another 05 kms will bring us to Thiksey Monastery which is one of the largest and architecturally most impressive Gompas of Ladakh. There are several temples in this Gompas, containing images, stupas and wall paintings of Buddha, which are exquisite. Finally we drive to Hemis, appox 40 Kms from Leh, it is the wealthiest, best known and biggest Gompa of Ladakh. Hemis was built in 1630 and is divided into two parts, the assembly hall on the right and the main temple on the left.. After visiting Hemis drive back to Leh. Enroute two brief halts at Druk Pema Karpo School AKA Rancho’s School (03 Idiot fame) and Sindhu Ghaat where the annual Sindhu Darshan festival is held. Reach Leh and relax at the hotel or just walk to Leh market for any last minute souvenir shopping. Dinner and overnight stay at Leh.
Jay 10 (Leh Airport Drop)
Early morning transfer to Leh airport to board flight back to destination.

  • IMPORTANT NOTE FOR THE CUSTOMER : Since Ladakh is an high altitude mountainous region, it is susceptible to medical emergencies and road closures due to flash floods and landslides. Hence, there may be chances of ‘on ground changes’ in the itinerary like extra running of the vehicle, non-utilization of booked accommodation or transportation, alternate/additional hotel bookings or non-completion of the tour etc. These changes may attract extra expenses, which are not part of the original quote. Any such expense due to any reason medical / natural / political whatsoever will have to be paid extra by the guests. Furthermore, there will be no refund for any unutilized services due to any of the aforementioned reason or any other reason like bad weather, health, natural calamity road closure etc.
