Some of the major highlights of northern India are the magical destinations of Delhi, Agra (famous for the Taj Mahal), and Jaipur. North India is a pure delight to mountain lovers and adventure enthusiasts. There are plenty of picturesque, popular, and off-the-wall hill stations nestled in the Himalayas that make for beautiful holiday destinations.
Itinerary
Day 01 (Arrive Delhi)
NEW DELHI – India’s capital and a major gateway to the country, contemporary Delhi is a bustling metropolis which successfully combines in its fold the ancient and the modern. Its strategic location was one of the prime reasons why successive dynasties chose it as their seat of power. It is not surprising then, that what constitutes Delhi today is a conglomerate of seven cities.
Overnight at Hotel.
Day 02 (Delhi)
After a leisurely breakfast sightseeing tour of OLD DELHI. Red Fort – The old walled city from Mughal India, the chief attraction is the huge fort that contains within it palaces and impressive public buildings. Jama Masjid – The great mosque of Old Delhi is both the largest in India and the final architectural extravagance of Shah Jahan.
Raj Ghat – On the banks of the Yamuna River, a simple square platform of black marble marks the spot where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated following his assassination in 1948.
Afternoon visit New Delhi where ornate buildings recall the days when India was the Jewel in the crown of the British empire. Visit the 11th century Qutab Minar, India Gate and the grand government buildings, the President’s House, Mahatama Gandhi Memorial, Also visit Laxmi Narayan temple popularly known as Birla Temple.
Overnight in Delhi.
Day 03 (Delhi | Varanasi)
Morning transfer to Airport to board flight for Varanasi. Assistance on arrival and transfer to your hotel. Later visit Sarnath in the afternoon. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 04 (Varanasi)
Enjoy a sightseeing tour of the city visiting the Vishwanath Temple, Bharat Mata Temple and Tulsi Manas Temple and the burning Ghats. Evening enjoy the Aarti ceremony at Ganga ghat. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 05 (Varanasi | Khajuraho)
Morning enjoy boat ride on the river Ganges. After breakfast check out of the hotel and fly to Khajuraho. Assistance on arrival and transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon visit the different temples. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 06 (Khajuraho | Orchha)
Drive to Orchha in the morning and on arrival check-in at hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel in Orchha.
Day 07 (Orchha | Jhansi | Agra)
Morning visit the temples. Drive to Jhansi to board the express train to Agra. In Agra assistance on arrival at railway station and transfer to your hotel for overnight stay.
Day 08 (Agra)
Morning visit Taj Mahal & Agra Fort, Return in the evening to see Taj Mahal at sunset, Overnight at the hotel.
Taj remains closed on Fridays.
Day 09 (Agra | Jaipur)
Morning drive to Jaipur enroute visit Fatehpur Sikri. After visit continue drive to Jaipur check - in on arrival at a hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.
Jay 10 (Udaipur)
Morning excursion to Amber Fort, Enjoy Elephant ride. Afternoon sightseeing of Jaipur city includes Jantar Mantar, Hawa Mahal and City Palace. Overnight at the hotel in Jaipur.
Day 11 (Jaipur | Udaipur)
Morning drive to Udaipur, Arrive Udaipur in the late evening & check in at hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 12 (Udaipur)
Spend the day visiting the famous sites of Udaipur like the City Palace, Jagdish Temple and Sahelion-ki-Bari. Afternoon enjoy a boat ride on the picturesque Lake Pichola, Overnight at the hotel.
Day 13 (Udaipur | Delhi)
After breakfast day free till in time transfer to airport to board the flight for Delhi and on arrival transfer to a hotel for wash & change (lobby use). Rest of the day free for independent activities. Do your last minute shopping. Late night transfer to Airport to board flight for your return journey.
